Twitpic can sell your images

Twiptpic’s Terms of Service grant them unlimited rights to sell and use images you’ve uploaded:

“… by submitting Content to Twitpic, you hereby grant Twitpic a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicenseable and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform the Content in connection with the Service and Twitpic’s (and its successors’ and affiliates’) business, including without limitation for promoting and redistributing part or all of the Service (and derivative works thereof) in any media formats and through any media channels.”

It’s important to note that, despite this, you retain ownership (assuming you originally produced the image, of course). This means they won’t use/distribute your image if you delete it from Twitpic.

Not a big deal for most people, since the majority of Twitpic images are of iPhone photos of fancy desserts & soups. But it’s still worth knowing about, especially if you publish your good photos to Twitpic.
